Old Mutual Namibia has reaffirmed its commitment to employee well-being through its partnership with Eureka Psychology for the upcoming 2026 Employee Wellness Indaba. The event is scheduled to take place on 20–21 May 2026 at the Windhoek Country Club Resort &amp; Casino.Hosted under the theme “Well-being by Design: Building the Future Workplace”, the Indaba aims to highlight the importance of intentionally integrating well-being into workplace structures and organisational culture.According to Eureka Psychology Founder, Ceaseria Mutau, organisations are increasingly being challenged to move beyond surface-level wellness initiatives and take a more deliberate approach to how workplace environments impact employees’ health, well-being, and performance.The Indaba comes at a pivotal time for Namibia’s workforce. The confirmed attendance of the Vice President of Namibia, Lucia Witbooi, underscores the growing recognition of workplace well-being as a national priority linked to productivity, economic resilience, and long-term development.Old Mutual Namibia noted that the Indaba aligns strongly with its 2026 organisational theme, “Wellness Powers Performance”, which emphasises the direct link between employee well-being and overall organisational success.Tassius Chigariro, Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Old Mutual Namibia, shared that when the company invests in the well-being of its people, it strengthens not only the business but every stakeholder it serves. He further noted that wellness is not a soft issue but is instead fundamental to sustainable performance.Dr Ina Kahupi, Executive Assistant to the CEO of Old Mutual Namibia, stated that organisations cannot afford to treat well-being as an add-on. She believes it must be designed into how people work, lead, and measure success. When employees feel supported and valued in meaningful ways, it creates the conditions for sustained performance and long-term impact.The 2026 Wellness Indaba will bring together leaders from government, business, and the wellness sector, including policymakers, psychologists, and practitioners. The platform is designed to explore practical approaches to building workplaces that enable both organisations and individuals to thrive.
