Nedbank funds literacy drive
Nedbank Namibia has contributed N$150,000 to the Financial Literacy Initiative (FLI) to expand financial literacy roadshows across the country.
The funding will support the FLI’s quarterly roadshow programme, which takes practical money-management skills and financial education directly to communities.
The initiative comes as Namibia continues to make progress in financial inclusion, while significant gaps in financial literacy remain. Findings from the 2025 Namibia Financial Inclusion Survey highlight the continued need for greater access to financial education.
The latest roadshow programme began in the southern regions in July, covering Oranjemund, Lüderitz, Keetmanshoop and Mariental.
The programme moved to western Namibia in September and will continue to the northern and eastern regions from December 2026 to January 2027.
The FLI said the roadshows are aimed at making financial education more accessible by taking it directly to communities where people live and work.
