Matthews appointed to Letshego board

Letshego Holdings Namibia has appointed financial services executive Lionel Matthews as an independent non-executive director, effective 22 September 2026.

Matthews is a Namibian chartered accountant with more than 40 years of experience across banking, financial services, investment management, corporate governance, risk management, public finance and strategic leadership.

He previously served as managing director of Nedbank Namibia, chief executive officer of Old Mutual Investment Group Namibia and director of banking supervision at the Bank of Namibia.

Matthews has also worked as a technical adviser to the Ministry of Finance, giving him experience in financial sector supervision, banking regulation, governance, risk management and regulatory policy.

The appointment was announced in accordance with Rule 3.59 of the NSX Listing Requirements.
