Haib drilling strengthens copper resource case

Fresh drilling at Koryx Copper's Haib Copper Project in southern Namibia has strengthened confidence in the size and continuity of the deposit, as the company advances one of the country's largest undeveloped copper projects towards its next development milestone.The company reported assay results from 15 drill holes, covering more than 5,300 metres, with several wide mineralised intersections returning copper-equivalent grades above the project's current average mineral resource grade.Koryx said the latest drilling supports the existing geological model and could contribute to an upgraded Mineral Resource Estimate. The results will also feed into a pre-feasibility study, which the company expects to complete before the end of 2026.Heye Daun, Koryx Copper’s CEO described the results as another outcome of the process as another set of excellent results from its ongoing 15-rig programme. “Very wide intersections at good grades exceeding 0.3% copper equivalent and mostlystarting from the surface, indicates the potential for further improvements of our mineral resource. In conjunction with the recently announced process flow sheet enhancements, we expect the economics of the Haib project to improve significantly in the upcoming pre-feasibility study which is on track to be published before the end of 2026.”The drilling programme also identified higher-grade zones of gold and molybdenum within the broader copper mineralisation. One drill hole suggests the deposit may extend further south than previously modelled, although additional drilling will be needed to confirm the extent of the mineralisation.Most of the latest programme consisted of infill drilling, designed to improve confidence in the existing resource rather than test entirely new exploration targets. Such work helps reduce geological uncertainty and provides a stronger foundation for future mine planning.Haib is being evaluated as a large-scale open-pit copper operation with the potential to produce copper and molybdenum concentrates. The company is also assessing opportunities to recover additional copper through heap leaching of oxide material.
