This week, My.na Cars treats viewers to an in-depth look at the all-new BMW X3, with insights from Daniel van der Westhuizen, a seasoned sales consultant at Pupkewitz BMW.

Known for blending luxury with practicality, the new X3 proves to be more than just another premium SUV it's a standout in its class.

Daniel doesn’t hesitate to highlight the model’s striking redesign. “People love the new look,” he says. “I always say change is a good thing, because without change, how would the next best thing come into play?”

The revamped styling is hard to ignore. One of the most talked-about features? The iconic illuminated kidney grille. “At night, the glow gives the X3 an unmistakable presence. People can’t help but look,” Daniel notes.

In a crowded SUV segment, the BMW X3 holds its own. “Compared to other SUVs, especially in this premium space, BMW offers better value,” says Daniel. “When placed next to competitors like Mercedes or Audi, we offer the same, if not more at a better price point.”

Built with versatility in mind, the X3 is equally suited for long road trips, urban driving, and even some light off-roading. “It’s your most useful car, whether it’s for family or adventure,” he adds.

From its updated LED headlights and M Sport package to its panoramic sunroof and seamless door handles, the new X3 has been designed with both form and function in mind. And yes, it can tow a trailer, making it a luxury SUV that doesn't shy away from utility.

Other standout elements include:

• Archless wheels and sporty M Sport rims

• Blended side sills for a clean silhouette

• Tow bar for added practicality

• Panoramic sunroof for open-air driving experiences

Performance and driving comfort

Performance has always been a cornerstone of the BMW brand, and the X3 carries on this tradition. With Pirelli run-on flat tyres and precision-engineered suspension, road-holding and comfort are top-tier.

“These run-on flat tyres are reinforced to protect your rims from potholes,” Daniel explains. “Even if punctured, you can drive up to 100 kilometres. Add to that the near-silent cabin and you’ve got a vehicle that makes every drive peaceful.”

Step inside the new X3 and you’re instantly met with refined luxury. “There’s only one word when you climb into the X3 for the first time - wow,” says Daniel.

The interior doesn’t just look premium; it feels it. Whether navigating the city or cruising on the highway, the car adapts seamlessly, delivering consistent comfort and control. “It’s a head-turner. People stop and stare,” Daniel adds.

The BMW X3 is equipped with electric motors on both the gearbox and the steering system, providing exceptional ease of use. “You can literally steer the car with one finger. It feels like you’re riding on a cloud,” Daniel said.

The review model came in a striking fire-red metallic. “It’s not your basic red, it’s a deep-tone candy red that changes depending on how the light hits it”.

The X3 is also available in a variety of other colours, giving buyers plenty of options to suit their style.
