Banger Drums premieres the long-awaited Fire music video featuring Arthur and Gogo Sax

The Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC) played host to an electrifying evening on Thursday, as Banger Drums unveiled the long-awaited music video for ‘Fire’ featuring Arthur and Gogo Sax.

Originally released four years ago, the track was removed from streaming platforms by Banger Drums, who felt it needed more refinement. “I’ve been working on it for quite some time,” he shared. “I needed it to be right.” Now re-released with a bold, visual statement, ‘Fire’ has been reborn—blazing with symbolism and sonic intensity.

“Fire is the cornerstone of civilisation,” Banger Drums said of the title. “It’s warmth, it feeds us, it brings us together—at weddings, funerals, around campfires. But it can also destroy. It lives in us, especially in African cultures.”

The house-driven track bursts with choreographed street dance scenes and rich live instrumentation, including signature drums. The video, directed by Olaf Spitta, follows a dancer’s journey to reclaim his dream, set against the backdrop of Katutura. Spitta’s cinematography, although slightly vintage in tone, captures both the urgency and heart of the song.

Standout vocal delivery by Arthur ties the entire piece together, marking ‘Fire’ as a striking return and a celebration of artistic persistence. Network Media Hub was at the music vidoe premiere and caption these moments
