Agra weaner champions honoured

More than 9 300 calves went under the hammer during the 2025 Agra Weaner Calf Series, showcasing Namibia’s exceptional livestock genetics and producer dedication. Despite fewer entries than last year, the series maintained strong prices and injected N$70 million into the agricultural economy. National winners present at the event were EOE Hoff (best feedlot weaners), Ironwood Trust (best heifers), and Pieter van Schalkwyk (best veld weaners). Other regional winners included Rosalinde Nakale (north feedlot), Hanssen Trust (north heifers), Hildegard and Sigfrid Hacker (central veld), TS Müller (south feedlot), and W.J. Knouwds (south heifers).
