Verstaan nie dat daar op Lüderitz nog geen Woermann Brock, of Metro of Shoprite/Checkers is nie. Toe ek nog daar gebly het, was daar ten minste nog ’n Portugese winkel wat altyd oop was. Verstaan nie dat daar in Lüderitz nie mense is wat ’n bakkery of ten minste ’n grocery shop privaat oopmaak nie. Vandag met koeriers wat daagliks ry, is dit soveel makliker. Destyds het die trein net drie keer per week gery. Daar bly genoeg mense op Lüderitz, en Aus se mense sal dit ook waardeer!

Worker's Day and the crowds are gathered. But answer my question please. How many aliens i.e. Chinese, South Africans or Zimbabweans, non-Namibians are working in Namibia? Can the president and his comrades please explain why we as Namibians are hungry, homeless and unemployed? Not one mine in this country belongs to a Namibian. We do not have factories or farms or any plant that manufactures anything that can supply our needs. You say we are independent - from who I ask you? None of the money raped out of our ancestors' ground is plowed back in our economy. China owned us, our blood watered the ground so China can walk away with it. Hurray, may the blind see and the deaf hear and those in a coma wake up!
