I think this 3rd Population and Housing Census is the most poorly organised one in the country. In the first place it wasn’t conducted when it was supposed to be conducted – it took place two years later. The primary objective of a census is for economic developmental purposes to distribute resources and for proper planning. Now, if you cannot plan properly in a space of 10 years, what planning are we talking about? I even bemoan and question that 94.6% of the total number of people were counted. Every second to third person that I spoke to told me that he/she wasn’t counted.

Right, honourable Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila, please tell the nation what happened to the switchboards of the government ministries, agencies, and offices. If you write a letter – be it by email or whatever way there is – no acknowledgment or reply and you won’t know whether your communication was received or not. If you call the landlines of those offices there is no response, until the extent of telling you there is no reply at the number that you have failed, as if it’s a mobile phone. What idiocy is that, whilst switchboard operators are employed and being paid monthly? Rt. Honourable, please have a serious relook into this by bringing the culprits to book. Address these issues hands-on and improve service delivery and good governance. Stop this nonsense of business as usual. - BAB, ||Kharas
