We are praying for you
EUNICE ANN VAN ZYL WRITES:
To those left behind after the tragic plane accident on Friday 3 May.
I hope that it will help a little to know that the people of Namibia are praying for you. We are sorry for your loss.
I know what you are going through. The unexpected death of my precious husband in 2021 left me speechless from shock. So many people were praying for him to survive the Covid pandemic, but he did not.
My questions are many, but one thing we can be assured of is that the Lord Jesus Christ will comfort us daily through the presence of the Holy Spirit.
John 14:16 (Jesus Christ speaks):
“And I will pray to the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever. The spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him, but you know Him for He dwells with you and will be in you.”
We had just celebrated Ascension Day (Hemelvaart). It is cause for celebration because we are reminded of the promise of the return of our King Jesus Christ.
Acts 1:10-11 (New King James Bible):
“And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said: Men of Galilee why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus who was taken up from you into heaven will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”
I believe that angel activity on earth and visitations to people will increase as the “Rapture” of believers, the Church, draws near.
All that we, as followers of Jesus Christ, must do is encourage people to become born again so as not to miss out on that “day of rejoicing”.
God bless you.
