Urgent complaint
WALLACE FINNIES WRITES:
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the ongoing and unacceptable state of the public toilets at the Gobabis NamPost Office.
For an extended period, these facilities have either been locked or left without basic necessities such as toilet paper. Despite previous complaints from members of the public, especially me as Headman of The Coloureds, no meaningful action has been taken to address the problem. This neglect has forced many people, including elderly citizens and pensioners, to relieve themselves in the bushes behind the Post Office at the Railway Lines of TransNamib, which is both undignified and unhygienic and exposes these elderly people to. As a public service funded by taxpayers like me, NamPost has a responsibility to ensure that basic sanitation facilities are available and maintained for all customers. The current situation not only undermines public health but also damages NamPost's reputation as a Public Service Provider.
I urge you to take immediate action to:
– Ensure the toilets are open and functional during operating hours.
– Provide adequate toilet paper and cleaning supplies at all times.
– Implement regular maintenance checks to prevent recurrence.
I trust that you will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves and provide a written response outlining the steps you will take to resolve it within three days and nights.
