“Opens our eyes Lord”

Mandy Rittmann
EUNICE ANN VAN ZYL WRITES:

A while back I switched to BBC just as a programme started about witchcraft murders in an African nation. The BBC journalist had called a meeting with the elders of the Christian church. These were the words of the elderly man:

“The Bible says there will come a generation that will have eyes but cannot see, that will have ears but cannot hear. This is that generation”.

Maybe in the coming months Namibia will have a female president. If it is in God’s plan, maybe the United States of America also.

Because the Holy Bible calls women the weaker vessel, I do not think at this time with the world in the state that it is, women can fulfill that role.

It appears that in America many women will vote for Mrs Harris, because of abortion that will be available. Surely having an abortion should be a traumatic experience so why is it viewed so lightly?

A while back I spoke to a pastor’s wife and told her one day when the Lord will ask me what to you as was the greatest thing about being a born again Christian? I will say the fact that my husband and I never got divorced:

Malachi 2:16

“I hate divorce says the Lord God of Israel, and I hate a man covering himself with violence as well as with his garment, says the Lord Almighty.”

Gender based violence is from the pit of hell. The trauma being caused by divorce and men abusing women, physically is caused by an evil spirit that must be rebuked in the name of Jesus.

Because we should be a people in preparation for the “rapture of the church”, it will be good for us as born again believers to be reminded of what it cost the Lord Jesus Christ, and that our prayers for salvation of the lost will intensify.

The Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance the words of the old hymn:

The church's one foundation is Jesus Christ the Lord.

She is His new creation by water and the Word.

From heaven He came and sought her to be His holy bride.

With His own blood he bought her and for her life He died.

Heavenly Father we give you glory, honour and praise.

We call on that resurrection power that raised the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead to fill our prayers for the lost.

In Jesus name with thanksgiving we pray.

Amen
