Justice for the /Gobanin Damara in Namibia

"In the heart of Namibia, the /Gobanin Damara community stands at a crossroads. For decades, we've been silenced, marginalized, and forgotten. Our ancestral lands, once thriving with life and tradition, were unlawfully occupied during colonial rule. Today, we're forced to watch as our children suffer the consequences.
Teenage pregnancies and early school dropouts plague our families. Our sons, barely out of childhood, turn to stock theft, housebreaking, and drugs. The cycle of poverty and despair seems endless. We're not just statistics; we're mothers, fathers, and children crying out for help.
We've elected our own leader, but the government has imposed another. We've reached out to the new administration, but our voices remain unheard. We've taken our plea to the media, but still, there's silence.
We demand recognition of our rightful leader and resettlement on our ancestral lands. We demand support for our children and an end to the cycle of poverty. We demand justice and dignity.
To Her Excellency President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwa and the Minister of Urban and Rural Development, we say: hear our voices. Implement Section 5 of the Traditional Authorities Act and bring development to our community. We're not just asking for scraps; we're demanding our rights as Namibian citizens.
To the citizens of Namibia, we say: stand with us. Let's build a country where every community is heard, every child has a chance, and every voice matters. We're not just fighting for our community; we're fighting for a better Namibia."
