ANONYMOUS WRITES:This is a story about a young man who grew up in the deep south of our country, Karasburg, as many know it as Dakaza. This young man has so much talent and potential, and he’s driven by ambition and obsessed with success. His life started on the right path until the 11th grade, when he learned that he had a few medical problems. The doctor strongly advised that he should get treatment immediately as he has an anger disorder and was also suffering from trauma from past events, causing him to see visions of the past and relive those moments in his present lifetime. With all this, the boy decided to take his own course in life. He started dropping his grades and kept his pain to himself, as he didn’t want his family to feel pity for him. After finishing school, things became worse for him, as he refused to get help or talk about it with his family. Visions became his nightmare, and his anger disorder just got worse as he became more violent due to these visions and the pain only he could see and feel. Until today, he’s still suffering. In the year 2021, he met his true love, his life partner, and the light in his life. She brought so much joy and happiness into his life that he started smiling and laughing again after so many years. In the year 2022, his anger rage got the better of him and saw him beating people up brutally on a Saturday afternoon, leading for him to be detained for six days. But despite that tragedy, that same year, his beautiful girlfriend gave birth to their lovely son on 30 September 2022. This young man was so happy he wanted to leave his past behind, forget about everything, and just focus on his family he has just started. But for him, the past will always hunt him and catch up with him; today, he controls his disorder by holding on to his love. In the year 2024 February he went to see a doctor as he was having chest pains. The doctor advised him to see a cardiologist as his heart was starting to become weak and might one day fail on him if he doesn’t get the necessary treatment. The young man felt he had no reason to keep on fighting for his life, as it was already done for him with these many problems. The only thing keeping him going is the love for his family, which he started three years ago. He has endured a lot of betrayal by most trusted friends and brothers, abandoned by loved ones. He fights pain daily, endures nightmares every night, and has to check on his heart rate by the second to minute. There are still many more like him. Let us join hands and help our fellow citizens, as we are just one.
