Internship

CONCERNED NAMIBIAN WRITES:

An internship medicine student enrolled for placement. She was told that they would revert to her in December 2025. She called them back when they did not call back. But there was no response. Then she travelled all the way to Windhoek to their office.

They told her that if she had not heard anything yet, then she is probably not in the group. They checked on the system and her details were not in the group that is starting now in January.

Ovambo-speaking people are normally the majority. I do not know whether they are the only ones who pass and study medicine or who study at all. It is the same thing with the other fields. My guess is that the majority of Ovambos were chosen again. If there are other groups it is a small percentage if there are any at all. Is it 100 percent Ovambos or 99.99 percent who were placed again? The hospitals and other offices are overflowing with Ovambo groups. It is the same with government offices. The marking could be done in the same way.

Was Hans Diergaardt wrong when he wanted his own colony of Rehoboth? Was Muyongo and the Caprivians wrong when they wanted their own colony?

South West Africa became Namibia with independence, which actually means Ovamborand.

We want our regions back to manage our own country to train our own doctors and to train our own children.
