Division within rugby community

Mandy Rittmann
ANONYMOUS WRITES:

It’s been proven that the underlying intended purpose of FNB Kudus and their “faithless” following is to cause division within the rugby community in this country.

League competition was “healthy” for years before they became the self-proclaimed, delusional “force” to be reckoned with. They surely made history yesterday [19 Aug], but all for the wrong reasons. Referees being insulted and abused by the “Kudu faithless”. Opposition support being victimised intimidated and threatened, yes, threatened!

This was new to the rugby loving community, especially from the centralised areas of our country. The instigation being led by a prominent figure in the rugby fraternity of our country. Sad really! The voice of the “Kudu faithless” whose calling is to congrate the community, as he delivers his purpose, in the house of the Almighty on a Sunday, only to cause a rift and division between teams and the rugby loving community, the day before he delivers the sermon of salvation and alignment. Hypocrisy, if you ask me! Double standards!

“Accepting the officials” decision, does not come with force or abuse. At least one supporter was physically injured at the Hage Geingob stadium yesterday, not even talking about the officials.

The NRU tolerates and seems to condone this behaviour by FNB Kudus and the “faithless” followers. The entitled FNB Kudus get away with murder, tarnishing the reputation of the league and the rugby in this country.

It will be interesting to see what follows. All the teams that won, well deserved, with the rookies, Grootfontein probably the positive highlight of the day. FNB Kudus and the “faithless” well deserved winners of the bitter taste effect on the day.

Rugby’s purpose is to unite, across all spheres and boundaries, and with FNB Kudus contradicting that with their agenda of division, claiming entitlement, elevating themselves to a pedestal above rugby. You can never WIN at the expense of RUGBY. Rugby has and will always be the winner. . . as experienced yesterday.

FNB Kudus, it’s probably best to learn from the lesson yesterday. Rather invest in the players by having an unwavering belief in their abilities and grow their careers, than putting your faith in “faithless” followers, the orchestrates of chaos. Didn’t you see, about 78k of them chose to stay home, when you needed them the most! Your players are your biggest investment, nature them, it’s evident for 15 weeks they put their bodies on the line for 80 minutes. Some of them, have become embarrassed. I’m sure other teams will be more than happy to welcome and introduce them to new surroundings where their careers can accelerate and reach new heights. Why not question the head coach and hold him accountable for the result. He seems to employ the same strategy for the 3 times (WbayRFC and FNB Kudus) he has been at the semi’s getting the exact same result. Building squad depth and then failing to tactically employ the right personnel at the right time.

“Doing the same thing over and over. . . and expecting a different outcome. . . is insanity – Albert Einstein
