#RepBrokkies: Opleiding in palliatiewe sorg

Meer as 55 deelnemers, ingesluit dokters, verpleegsters, maatskaplike werkers en versorgers uit gemeenskappe het deelgeneem aan ’n opleidingsessie vir die spirituele en emosionele versorging van ’n pasiënt op sy laaste reis. Die sessie is deur Soul Carers Network in Suid-Afrika en as deel van die Kankervereniging van Namibië (CAN) se palliatiewe sorgprogram aangebied. Die opleiding het klem gelê op onder meer die belangrikheid van die pasiënt se stem, die ondersteuning van pynbestuur, sowel as etiese aspekte en die ‘sterf doula’-reis. Dit is in Windhoek en in Swakopmund aangebied en vir meer inligting oor toekomstige opleidingsessies vir palliatiewe sorg kan CAN se uitvoerende hoof Rolf Hansen by [email protected] gekontak word.
