Triple play from Andrada
Andrada Mining has reported record tin production at its Uis operation, strong lithium exploration results and progress on tungsten development for the period ended 31 May 2026.
Chief executive officer Anthony Viljoen described the first quarter of the 2027 financial year as “one of the most successful quarters in Andrada’s evolution”.
At Uis, the company’s tin operation delivered record quarterly production, which Viljoen said demonstrated the strength of its processing platform. He added that the performance was supported by sustained tin prices, helping to improve cash flow.
At Lithium Ridge, Andrada completed a 16 500-metre drilling programme, reporting near-surface lithium intersections alongside significant tin and tantalum deposits.
Viljoen said the scale, grade and continuity of results strengthened the company’s view that Lithium Ridge could become a significant lithium operation.
The company also reported progress at Brandberg West, where initial ore-sorting tests exceeded expectations. Viljoen said the process removed more than 90% of waste material while improving tin, tungsten, and copper grades, potentially supporting a lower-cost development approach.
Andrada also announced the appointment of Jay Ashfield as its UK-based commercial development specialist.
“As we enter the next phase of growth, we are strengthening the team around our commercial and capital markets strategy,” Viljoen said.
He added that Ashfield’s appointment would support stakeholder engagement and improve communication around the company’s projects. Andrada has also appointed VSA Capital as joint broker to expand its investor reach.
Viljoen said the company now had three key development areas: its tin operation at Uis, the Lithium Ridge project and the emerging tungsten project.
“Supported by partners including SQM, ACAM and the European Investment Bank, Andrada enters the remainder of FY2027 with strong operational momentum and several growth opportunities,” he said.
