PAS IN: Namibië skitter by Miss Africa 2022

Albertina (Tina) Haimbala is gister as die tweede prinses in die Miss Africa 2022-skoonheidskompetisie in Calabar, Nigerië, gekroon.

Dié 22-jarige Namibiër is ‘n student in haar finale jaar van bemarking aan die Namibië Universiteit van Wetenskap en Tegnologie (Nust).

Sy het op Mount Etjo Safari Lodge grootgeword. In dié klein gemeenskap het sy die betekenis van die gesegde, “it takes a village to raise a child”, leer ken en ervaar.

Sy het tussen nederige mense en die natuur grootgeword en leeus, olifante, renosters en jagluiperds daagliks gesien.

“Die pragtige natuur van Namibië is my tuiste,” sê Albertina.

Haar droom is om ‘n stem vir kinders met gestremhede te wees en om maniere te vind om ‘n verskil in die lewens van sulke kinders regoor Afrika te maak.
