Police seek assistance in finding missing person in Walvis Bay
The Namibian Police have issued an appeal to the public for assistance in locating Sheehama Matheus (24), who was last seen on Saturday, 27 July, in Walvis Bay.
A student at the University of Namibia in Windhoek, Matheus reportedly went missing from his girlfriend's house. According to his mother, "Sheehama was not at home when I returned from work that day."
She added that she received a text message from him indicating that he had gone out with some friends, but he did not return home that night.
On Sunday, 28 July Sheehama’s mother attempted to contact him via his cellphone. A woman who identified herself as Jessica answered the call.
Sheehama has a brown complexion and pierced ears. He speaks English, Afrikaans and Oshiwambo.
The police are urging anyone with information regarding Sheehama Matheus’s whereabouts to contact Detective Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu at 0812464757, Detective Warrant Officer Dennis Skrywer at 0814433377, the Kuisebmond police station at 064219070, or any nearby police station.
