Kankervereniging fokus dié maand op prostaatkanker

Die Kankervereniging se jongste statistieke toon dat prostaatkanker nou die mees algemene kanker onder Namibiërs is.

Die vereniging sal die maand konsentreer om bewustheid oor prostaatkanker te skep en alle mans bo die ouderdom van 45 aan te moedig om getoets te word. Dit behels ’n eenvoudige bloedtoets, genaamd ’n PSA-toets, en resultate is binne 15 minute beskikbaar. Dit kan by Pathcare landwyd gedoen word, asook gratis by die Kankervereniging in Windhoek.

Mense kan help deur inisiatiewe te ondersteun soos om ’n 2024-dagboek by die Kankervereniging se kantore op Swakopmund te bestel, waarna persone ’n blou lint sal kry wat hulle kan dra in ondersteuning van mans met prostaatkanker.

Mense kan ook 'n blou kolwyntjie teen Woensdag, 22 November bestel wat die kankervereniging sal help met meer fondse om hul in staat te stel om meer mans gratis te help.
