Minstens 37 mense het gesterf na 'n reusevrag­vliegtuig in 'n dorp in Kirgistan in digte mis by die Manas-lughawe probeer land het, maar die lughawe gemis het. Die vyf bemanningslede het ook in die ongeluk gesterf.

Nooddienste sê die Boeing 747-400 het 15 geboue op 'n naburige dorp getref.

Die vliegtuig was van Hongkong na Istanboel op pad en was veronderstel om by die Man­as-lughawe naby Kirgistan se hoofstad, Bisjkek, te land.

Dié land se departement van vervoer sê die vliegtuig behoort aan Turkish Airlines, maar die lugdiens sê dit behoort aan ACT Airlines, 'n ander Turkse maatskappy.
