Unam wil voor sukkelende Civics bly

Die sokkerklub van die Universiteit van Namibië kom vanaand om agtuur in die Sam Nujoma-stadion teen Civics te staan.

Civics bevind hom aan die onderpunt van die MTC Namibiese Premierliga (NPL) met net drie punte ná ses wedstryde, maar Unam vaar ook nie watwonders beter nie en is op ses punte ná sewe wedstryde (13de) ook maar net-net bo die relegasiesone.

Unam het verlede maand vir Ronnie Kanalelo as sy hoofafrigter verloor, wat 'n aanbod aanvaar het om na die Suid-Afrikaanse klub Pietermaritzburg United terug te keer.

James Britz is intussen die waarnemende afrigter van Unam.

Nog drie NPL-wedstryde word vandeesweek beslis.

Môre is dit Orlando Pirates teen Okahandja United in die Sam Nujoma-stadion); Woensdag is dit Eleven Arrows teen Blue Waters op Walvisbaai, en Donderdag Black Africa teen Tura Magic in die Sam Nujoma-stadion. Al die wedstryde se afskoptyde is om 20:00.

• In gistermiddag se NPL-wedstryd het Black Africa met 3-2 'n hardnekkige aanslag van die besoekende Young Brazilians van Karasburg afgeweer. Black Africa, die voorloper, moes 'n rooi kaart te bowe kom.

Vrydagaand se twee wedstryde het beide doelloos klaargemaak en gevolglik het Tura Magic, Okahandja United, Life Fighters en Mighty Gunners elk een ligapunt bygevoeg.
