Elvira Wood – Tito Mboweni, minister van finansies, het sy sin gekry.

Pres. Cyril Ramaphosa het Donderdagaand in sy staatsrede aangekondig dat hemp en dagga vir medisinale gebruik gewettig word.

“Vanjaar gaan ons die kommersiële gebruik van hennepprodukte reguleer en aan kleinskaalse boere die geleentheid bied om daarmee te boer.

“Beleid sal geformuleer word oor hoe dagga vir medisinale doeleindes gebruik kan word, soos wat in pas is met wêreldtendense,” het hy gesê.

Ramaphosa het bygevoeg hy kan sien sommige van die gaste by die staatsrede is heel opgewonde oor dié aankondiging. Hy “wonder” of hulle dit dalk self gebruik.

Mboweni het al herhaaldelik getwiet dat hy die kabinet gaan nader om daggaboerdery toe te laat.

Hy het ook al verskeie kere foto’s van daggaplante op sy plaas getwiet.

Volgens hom kan daggaboerdery maklik ’n ekstra R4 miljard vir die land verdien.
