Omeya to host Sanlam Cancer regional final

Omeya Golf Club is once again proud to host the Sanlam Cancer Challenge regional final tomorrow. Play will be contested in three men's divisions as well as three ladies' divisions.
Twelve clubs will be represented in the men's section, with players from eight clubs in the ladies section.
Men's players with 0-9 handicaps will contest the A division, while the B division consists of 10-18 handicappers and the C division is for 19 to maximum 30 handicaps.
The ladies divisions are LA (0-16 handicaps), LB (17-24) and LC (25–36).
Tens of thousands of players from clubs all over South Africa and neighbouring countries compete in the Sanlam Cancer Challenge events annually, leading up to the national finals to be held from 9 to 10 October 2017 at Sun City.
Omeya Golf Club would like to thank Sanlam Namibia for giving it the opportunity to host the regional final and the organisers look forward to welcoming the finalists to its championship facility.

RACE TO OMEYA
The 2017 AfricaOnline Race to Omeya Members Cup Series reached its penultimate event last weekend.
With a smaller field than usual, players still had their work cut out for a podium finish.
Mannetjies Burger made a superb 42 points, beating the Van Wyk brothers by two points.
The final event will be played on 9 September, after which the two 12-man teams will be announced which will participate in the Omeya Members Cup to be played on the 27 and 28 October.
The Home Owners team will be captained by Gareth Howard, with Shaun Smith leading the defending champions Members team.
The prize winners last weekend were: 1 Mannetjies Burger (42 points), 2 Abrie van Wyk (40 points count-out), 3 Gielie van Wyk (40), 4 Ernie Wessels (39 count-out), 5 Willie Prinsloo (39).
