AIMS is dedicated to capacity building towards the realisation of Vision 2030 and the Harambee prosperity plan and ready to roll out its plans in line with the new vision of the fourth industrial revolution.

African Institutional Management Services (AIMS) was founded in 1998 as the first black-owned training institution in Namibia with its head office located in Windhoek.
Its Vocational Training Campus at Arandis, known as AIMS VTC Arandis, offers professional and vocational skills training courses to meet the ever-changing requirements of the African job market.
AIMS is accredited as a training institution to offer qualifications by the Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA), and registered with the Namibia Training Authority (NTA) as a vocational training provider. All the qualifications offered by AIMS are registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) of Namibia.
With an experienced management team in the training industry, the institution adopted a different and sustainable approach with regards to the training industry. AIMS has ventured into aviation sector and has received accreditation from the Namibia Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and is now a registered Aviation Training Organisation (ATO). AIMS has partnered with Flight Safety (SA) and Blue Zero (SA) as technical partners.
AIMS has a staff of 34-part time and full-time employees who all subscribe to the company’s objectives. They have a team-based corporate culture with employee participation at all levels.
The management team of AIMS is aware that the strategic alignment of business operations is critical for profitability and sustainability of the institution. Henceforth, the institution re-aligned its business operations to function at optimal levels for future sustainable growth. In the next three to five years AIMS will expand its scope of operations in vocational training and be one of the top VTCs in the country and the Aviation Academy will be fully operational.
AIMS Vocational Training Centre offers NTA-accredited vocational trades. As they have realised that not everyone can afford to fund their tuition, they came up with a strategy to subsidise the tuition fees to offer equal study opportunities to previously disadvantaged students.
According to AIMS, success is setting a goal, planning the steps required to achieve it, and effectively implementing that plan. The institution continuously strives to be accountable to the trainees, the communities and the general public, for the quality of learning experiences it provides. Their success is mostly measured by the number of students registered for sitting for the final NTA assessment and a number of students send on assessment for practical skills development.
The resources the institution uses and the manner in which people are treated form part of the institutions service delivery. There are currently five students partially sponsored by AIMS carefully identified from a village in Kunene Region and one student from the disable community fully sponsored by AIMS.
As an institution it is a social responsibility to give back to the community. AIMS’s main focus is on the previously disadvantaged communities in order to complement the government’s Vision 2030 and national development policies including the Harambee Prosperity Plan (HPP).
The institution believes the future lies in value addition of its training programmes, as it pertains to upskilling the workforce the institution thus building institution capacity of its clients and simultaneously adding to the national human resource development pool.
