Namibia still stuck in recession
Namibia’s economy grew by -0.1% in the first quarter of 2018, preliminary figures released by the Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA) this morning show.
Although still in the red, the economy picked up compared to the previous two quarters. In the third quarter of 2017, growth was -1.1%, followed by -1.5% the next.
In the first quarter last year, the gross domestic product (GDP) grew by -0.4%.
