N$100 000 vir Schumacher-bul

Die hoogste prys van N$100 000 is vir ‘n Bonsmara-bul tydens Dinsdag se Schumacher Bonsmara-produksieveiling betaal.

Daarbenewens is ‘n gemiddelde prys van N$61 762 vir bulle en N$24 581 vir koeie en verse behaal.

Die veiling, wat deur Bank Windhoek geborg word en by die Agra Bank Windhoek-ring gehou is, het ‘n omset van net meer as N$3 miljoen gehad. Die aanbod het beide kommersiële en stoetdiere ingesluit.

Met Okozonduno Bonsmaras van Vetumbuavi Mungunda as die gasverkoper, is altesaam 105 Bonsmaras op die veiling aangebied, waarvan 25 bulle en die res koeie was.

“Saam met Okozonduno Bonsmaras kon ons daarin slaag om ons beste diere vir 2021 te koop aan te bied. Baie moeite en harde werk het ons by die punt gebring,” het mnr. Marc Schumacher gesê.

Bank Windhoek se mnr. Leon Koch het gesê dis 'n voorreg om finansiële bystand aan potensiële kopers in die moeilike tye te kon bied.
“Die landbousektor herstel nog steeds ná 'n lang droogte,” het hy gesê. “Hoewel die goeie reën wat ons in die afgelope seisoen gehad het, die onmiddellike gevolge van die droogte verlig het, is die bedryf nog aan die herstel,” het Koch gesê.
