Republikein het Dinsdagaand 'n toekenning van die “Gender is my Agenda”-veldtog (Gimac) ontvang vir die Namibiese media-instelling wat die beste op die gebied van geslagsgelykheid vaar. Erkenning is gegee aan die feit dat meer as 60% van die koerant se redaksionele span uit vroue bestaan, waarvan baie ook senior posisies beklee. Namibia Media Holdings se beleid en gedragskode oor geslagsensitiewe beriggewing is ook vermeld. Op die foto is van die vroue in Republikein se span.
