Kaulinge joins mining board
BASIL Read Mining Namibia (Pty) Ltd has appointed Mr Isaac (Sakkie) Kaulinge to its board of directors as a non-executive director. Having started his career in the education field, he then spent 15 years in the mining industry, working himself up through the ranks of De Beers, while being seconded from Anglo American, to the position of Senior Personnel Manager on the Namdeb (CDM) mines in Oranjemund, where he served on the Executive Committee as Head of Department.
After Independence, he was appointed as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. In 1996 he became Secretary to the Cabinet, and 1999 as Secretary to the Presidency and National Co-ordinator for the Vision 2030 Project. Since then he has been involved in various private sector undertakings.
