Groot kommer heers oor geestesgesondheid in Namibië.

Dienste op dié gebied skiet ver tekort in vergelyking met ander gesondheidsdienste in die land.

Daaglikse mediaberigte en verskeie navorsingstudies spreek boekdele oor die omvang van uitdagings van plaaslike geestesverwante kwessies.

Die Bel Esprit-stigting fokus op maatskaplike opheffing en is gemik op die rehabilitasie en herintegrasie van individue en groepe met geestesverwante kwessies om onafhanklik, ekonomies en produktief te kan funksioneer.

In die lig van huidige finansiële beperkings vir psigiatriese en sielkundige behandeling, is die stigting ’n platform waar verskeie rolspelers kragte kan saamsnoer om broodnodige verandering met fondsinsamelingsinisiatiewe teweeg te bring.

Die Bel Esprit-stigting bied aanstaande maand ’n fondsinsameling in die vorm van ’n Griekse gala-aand in Windhoek aan.

Dit vind op 9 November by die Safari-hotel in die hoofstad plaas.

Verrigtinge skop om 18:00 vir 18:30 af en die kaartjies kos N$500 per persoon of N$5 000 vir ’n tafel van 10 mense.

Trek volgens die tema, wat “Grieks” (wit, goud en groen) is, aan.
