Motivation to achieve and do more
Dean Gaeb is the newly appointed service advisor at Pupkewitz Great Wall Motor Company Limited (GWM)

Dean Gaeb started his education at Outjo Primary School in 2005 and completed his secondary education in 2017 at Outjo Secondary School.
Rugby was his favourite sport in school, and he still enjoys playing it. In his first year in tertiary education, he joined Pupkewitz Motor Division where he was given the opportunity to be part of the company’s Commercial Advanced Training Scheme (CATS) programme.
As service advisor, his responsibility is to communicate with customers in a professional manner. “I act as a liaison between the service staff and customers,” Gaeb says.
Gaeb considers the opportunity for growth and the passion of the team before making a decision to work for a company.
“My biggest challenge in this journey was the uncertainty of the future I was stepping into as a student. I see my accomplishments as a motivation to do more and achieve more.”
The new service advisor says his goals are to continue advancing his skills and knowledge on a career path that will lead to a supervisory level, with a long-range goal of eventually moving into upper management.
Gaeb advises other young people to accept setbacks and learn from them, as they are part of the human experience.
“You may not have control over a bad situation, but you can adopt a positive mental attitude to overcome it,” he adds.
