I am studying at Prestige Academy. I am currently busy with a higher certificate in business marketing.

I started studying in January 2019, after I took a gap year in which I gathered information about colleges around Cape Town from friends, booklets and pamphlets, in order to see what programmes are available.

The main challenge I had to face was being 100% sure that the course I am was interested would allow me to build a career in my field of interest.

I couldn’t wait to move to a different environment in which I had to build new friendships and have new opportunities and different types of adventures. I also wanted to experience the mix of different people in Western Cape.

My biggest adventure during my studies was definitely my internship at Ogilvy. While working as an intern I was taught way more by physically doing the work. I built a few really valuable relationships and made a really good friend as well.

The best advice for someone that is interested in studying in South Africa is to choose accommodation in really safe neighbourhoods.

Also, do not walk anywhere in the day or at night, but do not say no to new adventures. These can develop new interests and hobbies

If I could do my studies over, I would go surfing and hiking. I have attended a few day festivals during where I had the time of my life.

After graduating I want to study further and obtain a bachelor’s degree in marketing, and finish a few other courses as well.

During the weekends I am usually in Stellenbosch, and for lunch and dinner you can catch me at Bohemia, which is a rock-themed bar with nothing but good vibes. At the college you can catch me at a nearby restaurant called Enjoi.
