Save the Family conference launched

The Fatherhood Foundation has partnered with Powerhouse Family Fellowship to host the Save the Family conference.

This year’s theme is “Let’s Talk". The conference was officially launched at a recent media conference held in Windhoek.

“We are proud to be associated with this great initiative, as we have seen so many lives changed over the years the conference has been held. As a foundation we believe that fatherlessness is the root of the social ills we see today, and we want to make a change. I think this conference is a great start in the long process of societal transformation,” said Carven Izaks, director of the Fatherhood Foundation.

“Namibia is currently facing high incidence of gender-based violence, single-parent homes, child-headed households, disillusioned and violent youth as well as many other societal problems stemming directly from a breakdown of the family structure and family values. As such, Powerhouse Family Fellowship and the Fatherhood Foundation is hosting a two-day conference that will offer powerful insights, experiences and introduces strategies for families struggling with a broad range of real challenges including divorce, parenting, finances, and social media,” said Edmund Khoaseb, Powerhouse Family Fellowship spokesperson.

The Save the Family conference takes place from 6 to 8 April at the NamPower Convention Centre (morning sessions) and Eros Primary School (evening sessions).

You can expect inspiring speakers and interactive sessions that will help you build and strengthen your relationships. Tickets for the full conference cost N$350. This great offer includes: Full access to conference (two day sessions and three evening sessions), meals, a free movie night under the stars and conference materials.
