Pupkewitz BMW host Chinese evening
Networking among the brand’s newest offerings
Yochanaan Coetzee – To celebrate the completion of their newly refurbished showroom, Pupkewitz BMW held a Chinese evening last Thursday, where they proudly showcased the first BMW i8 and i8 Roadster to reach the local market.
The evening was a classy and quaint affair, with premium wines and delectable Chinese canapes setting the scene, as guests from the Chinese business and diplomatic community mingled and networked with some of the various business heads of the Pupkewitz Group.
They also got to know more about the latest models to have arrived in then country, including the phenomenal new 7 Series.
“The Chinese community has a keen sense for quality products. This, coupled with their discerning eye for luxury and performance, makes BMW a perfect lifestyle brand for those seeking sheer driving pleasure,” said Armand Barnard, dealer principal of Pupkewitz BMW.
“This is why we thought it good to have an evening where we can better engage them and showcase our phenomenal offerings here with Pupkewitz BMW, which include the full BMW range, including the i3 and i8, a full Mini dealership, quality pre-owned vehicles, a standalone Motorrad dealership and a lifestyle store with every item of BMW clothing, down to the socks,” he boasted.
The star of evening was undoubedtly the two i8s in attendence, which drew huge excitement from passers-by, many of whom, pulled over to see the electric sportscar up close and personal.

The quality of a BMW is clear from the sound it makes when closing the door, or experiencing it’s standout performance and driving dynamics. That is partly why in China it is nicknamed ‘the best horse’,” said Li Nan, the chargé d'affaires of the Chinese embassy in Namibia.
