The Women Rock Spin meet-and-greet event took place on Saturday, 12 May at Diboh's pub & carwash in Katutura.

This event was held as a teaser to the much-anticipated Women Rock Spin Show coming up next week.

The crowd was excited to meet the crew from Windhoek Spin City, who've become famous for the skilled stunt driving and spectacular spins they have across the country.

Among the crew was one of their new female spinners, Elinor de Koe, a veteran spinner, who'll be making her Women Rock Spin Show debut at the Windhoek Spin City on 25 and 26 May.

New spinning car

Evanka Moller, Vankies, known as the first female spinner in Namibia, could not attend the meet-and-greet, but fans are looking forward to seeing her in action at the upcoming event.

Windhoek Spin City also introduced a new spinning car to their collection. This fiery Mk1 was originally built for oval racing and features a 2-litre engine with 2.5 Crewel pistons, a lightened fly wheel, copper clutch plates, racing branches, a 292 racing cam, 4 bar pressure regulator and a Diktator engine management-system. Wamboe Seun will be at the helm of the beast at their next spinning event.

Another meet-and-greet will be hosted in the parking lot of The Lounge in Visarend Street, Khomasdal, this weekend, so be sure to attend to soak up the highly charged atmosphere as the competitors ramp up their preparations for next week's showdown.
