Tanja Bause - Die Windhoek Internasionale Skool (WIS) het verlede Saterdag hul jaarlikse internasionale dag gevier.

“Dié dag is die grootste geleentheid van die skooljaar. Op hierdie dag vier, erken en waardeer ons die diversiteit wat maak dat WIS so ’n unieke skool in die land is. Besoekers, leerlinge en ouers kan kulturele en kulinêre ervarings van dwarsoor die wêreld beleef deur dit wat die leerlinge en ambassades aanbied,” het me. Atousa Fischer-Buder, adjunkvoorsitter van die oueronderwyservereniging, gesê.

"Die skool se etos is trots internasionaal. Maar internasionalisme beteken nie ’n mens ontken of verswak sy eie kulturele identiteit nie. Inteendeel, ware internasionalisme is gewortel in begrip en waardering vir jou eie kultuur en jou kultuur se plek in die wêreld," het sy gesê.
