Khomas Netball held another successful coaching clinic

NETBALL coaches from the Khomas Region Netball Association (KRNA) recently held their first netball coaching clinic for the community this year. The aim is to increase netball participation in the country.

The clinic tackled topics such as sport nutrition, basics of netball coaching, ethics and the importance of peripheral vision drills, planning a coaching session, positioning, team drills and sportsmanship.

Participants included school coaches and selected team coaches from the local clubs. Wency Katjatako, an accredited netball coach with the Stellenbosch Netball Institute and South African Netball Association, presented the clinic with the assistance of a Civics netball player who volunteered her time.

The clinic was a great success and Wency received many positive comments from the participants. KRNA plans to continue these coaching clinics in various regions in the country and will be hosting their next coaching clinic in Rehoboth on Saturday.
