Howard takes on supercycles
Alexander Howard (photo), a 20-year-old born Namibian, started 600cc Supersport motorcycle racing following an 11 year motocross career. After participating in a few races at the local Tony Rust race track and discovering his potential, he decided to pursue his ambition and participate in South Africa. Alex started racing in February this year.
To date Alex has raced at four different South African tracks, namely Red Star Raceway, Zwartkops, Kyalami and Phakisa. He has just accomplished his first podium finish in the Northern Regional Championships, finishing in 3rd position. It is his ambition to progress to the SA national championships as the racing standard is very high and there are various South African riders participating on the world stage.
He has worked his way up to third position overall in the regionals. Alex is entered as a privateer and is currently financing his own racing. This presents a unique branding opportunity for companies looking to expand their target market. Any form of sponsorship would be appreciated.
