Eunice Nawa Hosea is 21 years old. Originally from Okahao in northern Namibia, she is currently based in Windhoek. Hosea attended People’s Primary School and Centaurus High School in Windhoek.
Hosea is young, yet driven to achieve all her goals. She started a cleaning and laundry business known as Eunicquo Cleaning Services in August 2020. She started the business to secure financial freedom, take up her own responsibilities and be her own boss. Hosea has an assistant but says she prefers to do the work on her own. “In most cases I do the work myself because I believe that nobody would do it better than I do,” she said.
Hosea says she gets most of her customers from advertising on social media platforms, and handing out business cards and flyers.
Challenges are inevitable, like for any other local business owner, but Hosea believes that life is a journey and it should be treated as such. This journey requires patience, endurance and hope.
Hosea says she has had many ups and downs but the desire to win, grow and attain self-mastery are what keep her going. She remains grateful for all the success she has achieved so far and continues to improve to better equip herself for future endeavours.
“We have our clients to thank as they continue to trust and believe in our work. We have previously vowed to never fail or disappoint them,” she said.
Achievements are even more rewarding for Hosea. She says that getting compliments from her customers gives her clearer vision to have a direction and see where she can be more innovative in coming up with other ways to improve and grow her business.
Hosea encourages other young people to: follow a set of values and standards because each of our lives remains our responsibility; build a stable relationship with yourself because friends come and go; be humble and find an adult mentor who can educate you; work hard, keep going and make your work meaningful to create your own legacy; do not focus on negativity, rather consider it irrelevant and focus more on positivity. Most of all, she says, it is important to always pray and love yourself.
