Golf day proceeds go to charity
Santam Namibia hosted their annual golf day recently and with 20 Teams participating it proved to be a hugely successful day. Despite strong winds which seemed to come in handy for those who were not having a good putting day, everyone’s spirits were high. At the prize giving Riaan Louw, Managing Director of Santam Namibia said: “We at Santam are proud to donate all the proceeds from today to the “Men on the Side of the Road” Project.
This worthy project was recently launched in Windhoek and supports artisans such as painters, builders and many others. The “Men on the Side of the Road” project was selected because it offers artisans an opportunity to earn an income without them having to beg.”
Danie de Wet, who heads up the “Men on the side of the road” project, thanked Santam Namibia for their interest in the project and assured everyone that the money was most welcome and would be well spent. Special Thanks to Ellis & Partners who placed the highest bid on the fax/scanner/copier sponsored by Schoemans Office Systems.
