Covid-19 waves of complacency

At present, we are experiencing fewer new Covid-19 cases and deaths. Summer has arrived.

This is the good news.

The bad news is that the vaccination rate for adults is only about twenty percent. There is apathy and resistance to vaccination. Unless we reach seventy percent herd immunity, we won’t corner the transmission of airborne and touch virus.

In December / January, people well socialize big time. In January 2022, the fourth wave may hit us with a vengeance, as most people will let their mask, touch, social distancing / un-crowding guard down.

For the next two years, we will have yo-yo Covid-19 waves caused by complacency, new variants and lack of vaccination protection.

The economy will suffer.

You don’t drive a car fast, talking on a cell phone and without a safety belt. Why would you socialize without a vaccine? You are tempting fate.

If vaccinated and protected, why must we subsidize conspiracy driven non-vaxers who end up in the ICU or mortuaries?
