An attitude that sells

Shannon Uiras was recently appointed as a freelancer on properties for the My.na property data entry clerk website at the marketing department of media giant Namibia Media Holdings (NMH). Uiras is an economist by profession and completed her degree at the Namibia University of Science and Technology. She is a problem solver, doer, independent and a quick thinker.
She is responsible for going out to estate agents and get them to advertise and register their services on the my.na website. It offers real estate agents with a greater and better marketing and advertising strategy.
Growth
She says that she applied to NMH because of the endless opportunities the company offers. “NMH is a huge company and it gives you so much opportunities and because the company is so diverse in the number of career opportunities you can actually find out what you are passionate about,” Uiras highlights. Uiras adds that working for NMH is quite diverse and allows her to learn and grow into different areas. “The highlight I that you gain a lot of skills her at Namibia Media Holdings,” Uiras says.
Uiras intends on growing into the marketing and finance departments as it relates more to her study field and her experience will be an added advantage. She further gives credit to NUST for equipping her with the skills to be able to multi-task.
During her free time Uiras is an administrator for the football club Namib Eagles, and for the Namibia Football Association (NFA) e-connect project. “Other than that, I spend time with my family during my free time,” Uiras adds.
