Alexander Forbes het 200 Elle Cups ter waarde van N$80 000 aan die Lidar Foundation in Windhoek geskenk.

Die maatskappy gaan voortaan boonop N$5 000 per maand vir die volgende 12 maande aan dié stigting skenk.

Lidar is ’n gemeenskapsentrum in Katutura vir laer- en hoërskoolmeisies, asook jong moeders en hul babas.

Me. Erika Reissner, Alexander Forbes se bemarkingsbestuurder, sê hierdie skenking kan ’n groot bydrae lewer om meer Namibiese meisies op skool te hou.

“Sonder toegang tot volhoubare sanitêre produkte, dienste en ondersteuning is meisies kwesbaar vir verskeie gesondheidskwessies, wat tot afwesigheid by skole kan bydra. Ons glo jong vroue moet onthou hulle het waarde en hulle moet in hulself begin glo. Ons is op soek na jong, opgeleide leiers in alle nywerhede en glo hierdie skenkings kan help om meisies op skool te hou.”

Me. Serley Khaxas, Lidar se uitvoerende direkteur, het haar dankbaarheid oor die skenking uitgespreek.

“Ons het vandag iets spesiaals en kosbaar ontvang en ons sal Alexander Forbes ewig dankbaar wees.”
