Kobi Alexander, die voormalige uitvoerende hoof van Comverse Technology Inc, is vandag 30 maande tronkstraf vir effektebedrog van miljoene Amerikaanse dollar in ‘n hof in New York opgelê.
Alexander, wat in Julie 2006 uit Amerika gevlug en ‘n dekade in Namibië kom wegkruip het, het ‘n maksimum tronkstraf van tien jaar vrygespring.
Hy het verlede jaar vrywillig ingestem om na Amerika terug te keer en is in Augustus deur die Namibiese regering aan dié land se owerhede oorhandig. – Nampa/Reuters
