With the beginning of the Soccer World Cup Tournament in South Africa only three months away, no stone should be left unturned to curb crime on Namibian soil.
Minister of Safety and Security, doctor Nickey Iyambo, gave clear orders to the Special Field Force division of the Namibian Police to safeguard the country and its people against all possible criminal elements that might enter the country under the auspices of the contest.
The Field Force is a formidable paramilitary wing of the police that played a significant role in bringing the Angolan civil war to a final end during 2002.
