11.08.2011 Youth footballers enjoy SKW event
 KFA Rosh Pinah’s u/11 boys went home with gold.
MORE than 650 football players from 44 teams participated in at last weekend’s annual SKW Youth Tourney with boys and girls in the under 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and 17 age groups taking part in the exciting event.
The tournament is one of the biggest annual youth football events and was played for the fourth time this year, after the first event in 2008. Scheduled to take place earlier this year, the tournament had to be postponed to August due to heavy rains in March, leaving waterlogged pitches. For the first time a team from the far south – Rosh Pinah’s u/13 boys – entered the competition and went home with gold. Swakopmund FC represented the coast, while Otjiwarongo FC came from the north. The event was supported by Retirement Fund Solutions that sponsored N$15 000.

Under 13 Final : Cymot SKW 2 vs KFA 1 Third place play-off: SFC beats NYFPD
Under 15 Final: SFC 2 vs Rebels 0 Third place play-off: SKW beats Spartans
