Schools to participate in the final chess championship of 2009

The Namibia Chess Federation will be hosting the 5th Namibia National School Team Chess Championship tomorrow) at David Bezuidenhout High School, Paul Van Harte Street, Khomasdal, Windhoek. All schools and chess academies who are paid up members of the NCF may participate. Schools that are not members can pay N$200 membership apart from the tournament registration fees, to participate. Schools may register a maximum of three teams that consist of four players per team. Registration closes today at 16:00. A registration fee of N$20 per participant is payable today or early tomorrow morning. The event will take place over seven rounds from 09:00 to 18:00. Refreshments will be sold at the venue. Kolin Foundation Secondary School is the defending champion and will have to fight hard to take the crown again this year.
