The tournament which was organized by the NTTA was enjoyed by over 50 juniors from Windhoek, Rehoboth and Mariental. The Deutsche Höhere Privatschule (DHPS) of Windhoek showed their strength when their young team of players took six out of the eight available quarter-final spots in the singles event and three out of four semi-final spots in the doubles event. In the boy’s singles section, the championship was clinched in a tightly contested final by Danville Mouton (Mariental). He defeated Yannick Pape (DHPS) in four sets. Dennis Schreiber (DHPS) and Romanus Kanyanga (Mariental) were both defeated semi-finalists.
In a nail-biting doubles final, Jakob Machleidt and Dennis Schreiber (Deutsche Höhere Privatschule) came out victorious when they defeated Govany Isaacs and Danville Mouton (Mariental) with three sets to one. The plate event was won by Marco Clarke (Mariental) and runner-up was Hardly Farmer (M&K Gertze High School).

In the senior competition, held on 22 July 2010 at the Sport Klub Windhoek, top honours went to Melanky Farmer (Eliminators Club) who defeated Reinhardt Stanley (Eliminators Club) in the singles final that could have gone both ways. The final went all the way with Melanky taking it in the final set. Unfortunately three time reigning champion Theo Beukes was unavailable to defend his title. Stanley had beaten Reinholt Schurz (SKW) in the semi-finals while Farmer eliminated Wulf Pinsenschaum (SKW).
The men’s doubles encounter went to Farmer brothers, Melanky and Elzeeno (both Eliminators Club) when they convincingly defeated Reinholt Schurz and Bastian Hüster (SKW) to take the title. Christa Mrozek and Wulf Pinsenschaum (SKW) collected the bronze medal.
Heiko Fleidl (SKW) won the men’s plate division with Quinton Bochert (Eliminators Club) as runner-up.
The Windhoek Championships will be held at the end of the year and will be hosted by the Eliminators Club in Khomasdal.
