Constantia invites volleyball teams

CONSTANTIA Private School is hosting “The Volleyball World Cup” on 26th July 2008, with Computer Cabling and Maintenance and Telecom as the main sponsors of the event. This year the school invites business teams of 6 players per team, to represent a country of their choice, to participate in the CPS Volley Ball World Cup that will take place at Telecom Park.

Countries like Iraq, Sweden and Jamaica have already entered! The winning corporate team will receive a trophy as well as prizes to the value of approximately N$6 000 such as a printer per member of the team, camping equipment etc. The second place prizes are to the value of approximately N$4 000. Teams receive a bonus point per lady participant.

A spit braai buffet is included for each member of the team at the Prize Giving Ceremony. It is the school’s aim to reach a minimum income of N$100 000 that will enable them to raise the necessary funds assisting the following beneficiaries: Constantia Private School, Erpow Trust (Envoy for Rebuilding the Poor, Orphaned & Widowed) in aid of orphans in Katutura and Play4Christ.

The organisers hope to involve specifically the youth in physical activities – and various schools have already entered teams. The school had a very successful Siemens/Constantia Golf Day in 2007.
